Mustard Street was very saddened to hear about the loss of Ed Marianetti whose courageous battle with cancer came to an end this morning.Mr. Marianetti’s public service career included being the former Superintendent of Highways for the Town of Ogden, Commissioner of Public Works for the Town of Greece and Executive Director for the Monroe County Water Authority. His knowledge and experience in the field of “Public Works” was unquestionable.

So I heard the other day on the news that Sherrod is going to sue Breitbart? I am terribly confused as to why she would be go after a guy who posted a video of her on his own website and not after the folks that forced her to step down from her position.

In a triumph for the ordinary citizen, the Monroe County Legislature on Wednesday refused to let the City mount its infamous "red-light cameras" on County-owned utility poles.We've told you before about the red-light camera racket:

Monroe County engages certain agencies, including the Center for Disability Rights, to provide specified services for people with disabilities.Following complaints from people depending on services from CDR, the County investigates.   It finds lapses in care provided by CDR.Consequently, the County declines to renew CDR's contract to provide those services.   The County then lets all of the CDR clients choose to get the same services from any of five other agencies that administer the program.

In his piece on race, Bai manages to say very little, add roughly zero to the discourse and get several things dead wrong.
I’m not sure how it is possible to write about the Sherrod case without actually pointing the spotlight at the perpetrator – Andrew Breitbart. Breitbart’s hit job on Sherrod follows a familiar conservative trope on race – turn reality upside down, ignore facts, and cry “reverse racism”.

Good question. Why should the rich (the 5% of the population that earns over $150,000) pay more, don’t they already pay more  taxes? Well, yes they pay more taxes.  But that’s because they earn more- the top 5% take in a third of all income in the U.S.
